Recycling
Note: Before reading My Thoughts, please read My Disclaimer!
Thanks to our over-consumption, the whole world is rapidly becoming our trash heap.
Thankfully, it has never been easier to recycle.
It used to be that you had to separate your newspapers from glass and beverage cans and then take them each to a different location.
Now, many cities will pick up your recyclables at your curb in one container just like your trash.
But, let's not forget the other two "Rs": reduce how much "stuff" you consume, reuse it whenever you can, then recycle it so that it can stay out of the landfill.
Here are some tools to make this even easier:
- Recycling Trivia (This is suitable for printing and posting on your refrigerator to provide some reminders/motivation for your family members to join in.
Of course, I do realize it is somewhat ridiculous to suggest that you print out something on paper in order to help with recycling, but it's not like I'm Al Gore globetrotting to promote some crock like global warming!)
- Garbage Can Labels - City of Tempe, Arizona (It can be tough to remember what stuff is recycled by a particular city, so these labels make it easy.)
- Garbage Can Labels - City of Phoenix, Arizona
- Recycling Logos so you can create your own garbage can labels (for those of you that live elsewhere).
